Encouragement During Deployments

I have almost reached the two month mark in this deployment and I could really use some encouragement. I picked up my King James Version bible and started reading. Here are a few of the encouraging verses I found for those of us needing a little boost.

  • "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." - Proverbs 3: 5-6
  • "When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet. Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh. For the Lord shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken." - Proverbs 3: 24-26
  • "The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe." - Proverbs 18: 10
  • "I will turn their mournings into joy, and will comfort them, and make them rejoice from their sorrow." - Jeremiah 31: 13
  • "From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I." - Psalm 61: 2
